Our thoughts on the most important (or ridiculous) from the last 7 days in the world of music.

Hey #WonderFans, what with us being BBC Three Counties track of the week last week and being played on ITV’s This Morning we have been a little neglectful of this piece. But don’t worry we are back. I suppose it’s only fair after such a long time away from this to start with one person and one person only. Kanye West!!

So rarely is it quiet in the world of West and this week is no different. Kanye has recently asked Mark Zuckerberg (you know Facebook founder, whose net worth is estimated to be $44.6bn) to invest $1bn of his own money into and I quote ‘Kanye West Ideas’. So before we go on any further, let’s just look at a few of Kanye’s ideas and quotes shall we:

"I think I do myself a disservice by comparing myself to Steve Jobs and Walt Disney and human beings that we've seen before. It should be more like Willy Wonka... and welcome to my chocolate factory."

"I liberate minds with my music. That's more important than liberating a few people from apartheid or whatever."

Finally let’s not forget the infamous DONDA chart which Kanye claims is his easy step by step guide to saving the world (for dummies).

Kanye didn’t stop at directly tweeting Zuckerberg to ask for the money, no, he trolled the Facebook wizard with no less than 18 tweets in the space of a day. In one he actually said ‘you’d rather open up one school in Africa like you actually helped the country’. Yeah Mark you silly boy, if only you’d invested that money wisely into oh I dunno a chocolate factory for Wonka West and his Chumbu Wumbu’s. I guess what I would like to say at this point is Kanye don’t give up your day job, but to be quite frank. I wish you’d do that too.
